I decided to start a blog because I would like to think I have something to contribute. My dear friend Allison told me out of the blue that I should start a blog about hair and makeup tips. I am decently good at these things, so I started considering it. There are a ton of those out there, and though, based upon the volume of humanity, it is unlikely that my blog will be entirely unique, I would like it to offer something that perhaps not every other beauty blog has. With this in mind, I have a very loose theme for this blog, but it's basis will be one of beautiful earthy feminism. There will also be a significant amount of wine throughout.
Now, as my first post, I would like to introduce my current cosmetic endeavor. As a child (and by child, I mean I was probably in college), I read about Parisian women using rosewater spritz on their faces. Throughout the end of last year, I began using a rosewater spritz, and as of today, am testing out another. I'm looking for a compare/contrast, pros/cons, and such. Because there is no denying that Parisian women age beautifully, and my American self intends to do so without paying Ms. Lauder the equivalent of my organs.
Thus, the name of this blog. And also I am wearing satin pants during this inaugural address.
